  1. Wow you guys were HARSH on this one! Please show us on the Sam Malone baseball card where this episode touched you.

Sure, it’s not a classic like some others this season, but I thought it was silly fun and I really loved Sam’s undeserved confidence re: his business acumen.

Also loved the Frasier gag where you see him getting inducted into the group–they didn’t dwell on it, it’s just a side gag that rewards viewers who were actually paying attention.

  2. Well, I certainly enjoyed this episode more than Omar and Ryan. I do like the suggestion that this was a last minute fill-in episode to explain it feeling shoehorned into continuity.

As for Woody’s characterization here, it strikes me similar to earlier this season to suggesting Sam repay him with Sam’s car. Woody can be a bit opportunistic this season when it comes to money. And yes, this is not the sort of move Coach would have made. But if you’re looking to distinguish the two, this is definitely one way to do that. I feel like we’re still learning Woody, so why *shouldn’t* he be good enough with money to pull a “$100 a month is too steep. Make it $30 a week.” Maybe he learned that trick from his dad. On Sam’s end, this whole episode could be the beginning of his dumb-ening.

“I don’t like her.” Oh man, that was hilarious! Out of the mouths of babes, indeed!
