  1. A great episode of the Frasier and Lilith Show, as your guests called it. Recommend running a contest to see who can come up with the best sitcom title for that side-show.

  2. Great episode. Frasier and Lilith were hilarious from the get go. They could have potentially had a spinoff immediately in 1986, but I’m glad they stayed on Cheers and saved the Frasier spinoff until after Cheers ended. Cheers was much better with them on it.

Frasier was not only funny but could also play almost a leading or straight man role with other characters when Sam was gone or involved in another subplot. In fact there was an episode in the Rebecca years when Ted Danson was off doing a movie and appeared only in the cold open. The main plot involved Carla, but Frasier sort of filled in for Sam by helping Carla work out her problem. So Frasier ended up being a utility player on Cheers, which showed he could later be the lead character on his spinoff once Cheers ended.
