  1. Vicki was a great guest! Please have her back. Does she like M*A*S*H?

This episode is a classic, the way it turns the tables on Sam and the audience. As you pointed out, Danson’s read on “Tart!” is classic.

As someone who is a month away from getting married, I will say the “These will be the finger towels we have FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES!” bit cut really deep.

    1. Rob, thank you so much! I had a blast getting to talk with Ryan about this episode. I would love to come back anytime.

Unfortunately, I’m ashamed to admit I’ve never seen a full episode of MASH. I know the actors and characters of course and much of the cultural significance; in fact, the other night my husband and I were discussing if we should watch it from start to finish. I feel like there are so many references to the show in pop culture and it is so beloved. I feel like I’ve missed out on a shared experience.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Hopefully your decision fatigue will be coming to an end soon! 🙂

  2. Always enjoy when Sam and Diane are on the same level like they find themselves at the end. When they acknowledge their mutual childishness it’s the best. The cake reveal is one of the best visuals.

  3. Great discussion Ryan and Vicki. I agree that Vicki was a fantastic guest. I have had the same thought about how the scenes of Frasier and Woody are some of the funniest in the series. The two of them are like a classic comedy duo because of how they react and play off each other. There is an episode later in the series where Woody says that Frasier is the smartest person Woody knows, “except for Mr. Claven.” Kelsey Grammar’s facial reaction to that line is priceless. The dynamic between the two lasts the entire series, including on the final episode and continues in a hilarious episode of Frasier where Woody visits.
