    1. Forgot to mention that the 2 F&W mugs I ordered arrived before Xmas and they are great!

I’m looking forward to your upcoming Batman/Scooby Doo crossover episodes. I’ve been finding my joy in recent weeks watching the Mystery Incorporated series of a few years back. It’s fantastic and has some great laughs and real emotional depth. You guys may want to contact Scoobydoocast on twitter. There are several fun Scooby-centric shows and they may want to spread the word on your plans.

      1. That looks great but they have Scooby too understandable. He actually says ‘Batman’ rather than ‘Rratman’. And I wish they wouldn’t do the facial modelling with shadows. But JOY! I cannot wait. Thanks for sharing this, Chuck.

  1. Really appreciate you guys going over a year of ups and downs (and my condolences for the latter).

“Being happy is healthy” — the perfect coda. Thank you both for being a bright spot on my feed every week. I’ve relied on it for years.

  2. Thanks for all the hard work everyone on F&W does in bringing these shows to us. I can’t tell you how much I love these shows. Whether during my commute or while doing paperwork in my office or just chilling out at home, you guys help me get through the day. And I consider myself lucky to count you among friends. And I am truly honored when I get to be on as a guest!

I can completely understand Rob’s sentiment about doing what you love. My site is the creative outlet I need to maintain the energy for the other stuff. If I could make money talking about Supergirl, I’d scrap everything else.

I hope 2018 treats you all well! Thanks again.

  3. Also for me I would say the Capaldi Doctor is up there towards the top but unfortunately the episodes not so much. Though I did like the Christmas special

  4. Happy new year, gentlemen, and also best wishes to everyone here at the network. Thanks for providing many hours of pleasurable listening – I *really* needed it this past year…

  5. Happy new year fellas. I really appreciate the free wheelin’ content of this episode. Thanks for all the entertainment every week!

  6. Thanks for the show and the whole network. I saw the episode title and thought that that’s what I need on my last day of vacation before heading back to work, hearing about your joys and some time thinking about what brings me joy. I got a comixology gift card for Christmas and got some great comic runs that I’ve never read before. That will bring a lot of joy. I was excited to hear about the Scooby Doo / Batman Brave and the Bold movie. The Scooby Doo Movies team ups with Batman and Robin from 1972 were some of my favorites. I’m also looking forward to the M*A*S*H Cast. Keep up the great work! I’m excited to hear what comes from the network in 2018.

  7. I’m visually disabled so I don’t read or watch TV shows and movies. Instead, I enjoy audiobooks, audio dramas (like the amazing programs produced by Big Finish), old time radio shows, and podcasts. The Fire and Water Podcast is my favorite podcast and since you’ve expanded into a network, I have wonderful new podcasts to listen to almost every day. THANK YOU so much for all the smiles and laughter you’ve given me in the last year. You all are one of the key ways I find my joy!!!

  8. Just a quick note to say thanks and to wish you all a Happy New Year.

  9. Happy New Years guys! I really enjoyed this episode. It was the perfect thing to listen to as I got back into the daily routine after a great holiday break. I just want to give you guys some thanks for providing so much great content over the past year. I’m really looking forward to the V, Who’s Who, and Rob’s mountain comics episodes in the new year. Keep up the fantastic work. -Flame-fannin’, wave-ridin’ Nathan

  10. You found your joy! That’s the network motto! Thanks for letting me be on the adventure.

I posted my “awards” over at the blog (cuz, yeah, i still write) at
    https://siskoid.blogspot.ca/2018/01/the-siskoid-awards-2017.html
    and https://siskoid.blogspot.ca/2018/01/the-siskoid-awards-2017-technical.html

But on the podcast front, let me use your space to thank everyone who was kind enough to guest on one of mine. They are successes because of your enthusiasm and you’re being interesting on them. A special mention for FW Team-Up which the network encouraged me to do sooner than later, and it’s been a particular joy. I love to record and edit those things.

Thanks for all your work building our community, Rob and Shagg. Sorry I never trust the border to see you guys.

  11. I’ll also find my joy each day with the DC Day-at-a-Time Calendar. It has a different cover each day. Only the cover text including title and issue number are removed. If anyone else has the calendar, we can Tweet out the issues and characters. I did so for the first couple to @FWPodcasts #FWPodcasts. The calendar is available at Amazon – https://www.amazon.com/2018-Day-at-a-time-Calendar-Dc-Comics/dp/B0748JFHDF/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1515008850&sr=8-7&keywords=dc+calendar+2018

    1. On a similar note, I can recommend The Golden Age of DC Comics: 365 Days, compiled by Les Daniels, Chip Kidd and Geoff Spear, it’s 365 days of blown-up cover details and observations, and usually pretty cheap on Amazon marketplace.

  12. Yes indeed, the Network adds joy to my life, thanks for having me on occasionally. It’s great to hear what you especially enjoyed this year, and I can’t wait for the V show, DC did a surprisingly good spin-off comic.

Rob, have you watched the mini-series Feud, with Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford? Knowing your fondness for old Hollywood, I’m sure you’d get a kick out of it.

  13. For me, part of finding my joy in 2017 was the discovery of the Who’s Who podcasts right here, which led me to the rest of this truly awesome network. Thanks for being here, everyone!

  14. As a long time lurker/listener (who is trying to get the courage to comment more), I will fully admit that the whole Fire and Water network is my joy. I’ve enjoyed many of your shows and wish you both (as well as the rest of the network contributors) much success. Thank you for all you do and I hope to hear more of your great podcasts in 2018!

  15. Happy (belated) New Year! It was great to hear your reminiscences from the past year. My most recent joy was hanging out with my daughter over her Winter Break, while she watched many of the Star Wars movies for the first time, including two trips to see the Last Jedi.

I’m looking forward to the 2018 edition of the Fire and Water Podcast Network.
