Nothing wrong with liking Miley Cyrus’ body of work. I’ve got one of her songs on heavy rotation. “On My Own” feels like a 1980s Prince/Michael Jackson jam. Great song! And yes, her cover of Bob’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” is beautiful, too.
As for Maya Rudolph, I’ve been a huge fan of hers ever since I discovered PrinceSS, her Prince tribute band!
You made me watch it again. And I MIGHT be watching it on Christmas Eve too, just because Xmas Bill Murray is kind of my spirit animal. Is it okay to have a crush on sad Maya Rudolph in the post-credit scene?
Now who knows how to make a soiled kimono?

I haven’t re-watched it this year but I watched this previously because you had posted about it on Facebook once. I’m not a big celebrator of X-mas for exactly the gloomy reasons you mention but this year, I completely skipped watching the typical seasonal films I usually watch when I try to climb my way out. Now, you got me kind of regretting it. I wish I had re-watched at least this special.
