  1. I was thrilled when I saw that a new episode of FW Team-up was available. I’ve always liked this show and had hoped it would eventually return. The new format sounds AMAZING!!!! When I was a kid if I saw an issue of The Brave & The Bold, DC Comics Presents, Marvel Two-In-One or Marvel Team-Up (my favorite of the four), it was an instant buy. I can’t wait for next month’s show.

        1. Adding up the covers I bought as a kid, I’m surprised to find that DC Comics Presents has a commanding lead of 20 issues, although some of that is due to my love of “Whatever Happened To…” more than Superman as the lead, and also they had the bonus inserts like The New Teen Titans. B&B and MTU tie with 12, and Two-in-One is in last place with only 4 issues bought back in the day.

          1. Actually, I do remember it but I wasn’t sure if you did given the complicated spacetime nature of the podcast. I can only imagine what will happen when you cover issue 100.

  2. Really looking forward to the show’s return. Sounds like a cool new format. I read both B&B and DCCP pretty regularly as a kid and they were always fun team-ups. I didn’t read the Marvel team-up books but am looking forward to hearing about those as well.

  3. I’m going to love all these, but I hope you still do some weird ones and some inter-company crossovers sometimes. JLA and WildC.A.T.s was actually really good, after all.

  4. Oh, and hearing all the Amalgam ads together was highly entertaining — a feast of comedy and adventure tapas, if you will.

    1. Agreed! The Amalgam-ated character is often a highlight of the show.
I’ve wondered who comes up with the Amalgam character concepts? Is it Siskoid, his guest or is it… a team(-up) effort? *Ba-Dumm-Tsssh.*

  5. I’m very excited to see Team-Ups coming back! I did love the crazy team-ups, such as Superman and the Quik Bunny, there is a comfort in those Bronze Age classic team-ups. For some reason, I never found the Marvel titles as a kid, but I did enjoy Brave and the Bold and DC Comics Presents (Superman and Clark Kent against the Atomic Skull?? Yes, please!) so I’m looking forward to learning about the Marvel titles.

This should be a great time and I am looking forward to this series!
