  1. A great finale to Season 1, Rob. I don’t think that I have enough of a history with M*A*S*H to put myself forward for Season 2, but if you ever need a comment on their verisimilitude of the Medicine/Surgery side of things, do feel free to ask!

  2. Rob’s Mike Farrell story is still fun to hear. Great to hear you and Zaki talk about it again.

The show itself was interesting, like you said, some fun vignettes to finish off the season. Frank of all people playing pranks was such a change for his character. Made for an interesting reversal.

Another switch is giving Margaret the medical pro attitude working with Trapper. I don’t see this as a contradiction of her character. She wants the doctors to act professionally at all times, so she calls them out when she can. But when there’s a patient in trouble and she sees them doing their best, she backs them up all the way. First in Sticky Wicket, and now here. It’s good to see they started this expansion of Margaret earlier than I remembered.

Congrats on finishing season 1! Looking forward to 2, too! (oh that was lame)

  3. Very enjoyable episode. Every time we watch the episode my wife has to say “They’re wearing wigs” when the lady singers come on. Joey Forman was a very funny man who life ended much too soon. Two of my favorite Monkees’ episodes starred Joey. One called “Captain Crocodile” has Joey has the host of a children’s show who is threatened by the Monkees being on his show. In “Monkee Chow Mein” Joey is back in Chinese garb as he runs a spy ring in the back room of a Chinese restaurant. MASH connection — “Monkee Chow Mein” has a small part for Mike Farrell as a government agent.
