  1. So happy my Black Cat lop-sided boob comment sparked some…lively discussion. And for the record, yes I know one boob (and one nut) is always bigger, but Felicia is taking that to the extreme!

I always thought Black Tom here looked like an angry Colonial Williamsburg cast member running rowdy kids out of the gift shop or something.

You guys hit the nail on the head about the heights and weights in both this series and Who’s Who. Both companies should have sent someone to a gym or weightlifting competition to get the proper measurements of super-heroic types.

Great show as always ladies (and Siskoid)!

    Chris

          1. Well, Claremont and Byrne ripped the Hellfire Club off whole cloth from that Avengers (Steed & Peel) episode, so…blame them?

            Chris

  2. So… much… black… and yet so few non-Caucasian ethnicities. Hmmmmmmm.

I had thought Sebastian Shaw would have had a better showing, but I listened to the episode before checking the images and once I saw the drawing I suddenly understood why he didn’t fare so well. What an awful rendering. I always picture Shaw as suave and with that dark edge (think John Malkovich in Dangerous Liasons) but this artist gave us this ugly generic “bad guy” pose that doesn’t do the guy justice at ALL.

The highlight of the episode without a doubt was all of the single entendre on display when talking about Blacklash (#verypenis.) Are you sure there was no wine opened up before this episode started?

And I’ll second the idea that a Black Mamba cosplay should be take priority over Black Cat. I actually think Black Cat is hotter, but it’s cosplay I’ve seen. I’ve NEVER seen a Black Mamba cosplay. Let’s bring the truth of this hotness to the masses. #boobtruth

Can’t wait o see what the ladies think of the Black Queen… and stuff.

  3. Judging by the girls collective “Ooooh” when Aragorn was briefly mentioned, I’m starting to think their “dream man” is actually just a horse.

Glad to hear the Aquaman toy(s) have been returned to their former glory. The King of the Seven Seas deserves nothing less.

  4. Hmmm … interesting thought Rob. Maybe Siskoid should show the girls pictures of Comet the Super-Horse and his human form Bronco Bill Starr!

As for this episode, I feel bad for Black King because that has to be the most ludicrous picture I have seen of him. I wonder if the votes would have swayed hot if the book had pics of him from the Byrne run of XMen where he is very ‘Ra’s Al Ghul’ and tossing Colossus around like a rag doll.

  5. Sad that what I thought was the funniest part of the episode went unheard or unrecognized by the group at large: the notion of a character called Black Zebra! What would he or she even look like?!!!

  6. Another great episode (but could have used more wine). Loved their thoughts on Sebastian Shaw (The Black King). Very interested to hear their impress of the Black Queen. Can’t decide if they’ll think she’s insanely sexist or be thrilled with her outfit!!

    Don’t say “and stuff”. LOL!!
