  1. P. Craig Russell has been in the comics industry for decades, but known primarily as an inker. He’s bopped around Marvel and DC, working on lots of different books and characters, but I don’t think he ever had a really long sustained run on a single book except for maybe ELRIC by one of the mid-level publishers in the ’90s.

I’m most familiar with his pencils on a string of Ant-Man stories in MARVEL FEATURE in the ’70s and as an inker on one or two issues of SECRET ORIGINS. I have no idea if he’s well-regarded in the community or if he’s known for a particular style; I’ve never seen one from what little of his work I’ve read.

  2. I haven’t read the book or this graphic novel, but did enjoy the movie. Definitely an intriguing take on the story. Guess I have another one to add to my list. (Checks how many years until I can retire… Sigh…)

Sorry it’s such a short note this time, but know that I loved the episode as always. I can count on you both to brighten up my day. (Yes, really!) Till next time, my Punchers!

  3. Like Tim, my wife and I watched the movie, when it came out on DVD, but I haven’t read the novel or graphic novel. In all honesty, I didn’t know (or had forgotten that) the movie was based on a book. I don’t believe my daughter watched the movie with us, but I’ll have to double check with her on that. If she didn’t, then I’ll have to figure out how best to introduce her to Coraline, through the book, the movie, or the graphic novel. These are the tough decisions that really put one’s parenting skills to the test.

    Thanks for another excellent episode.
