I’m catching up on old episodes in between the new loose-leaf editions. Good news (& no surprise): you’re old episodes hold up.
I might be the only person eagerly listening to this episode to hear both of your reactions to the Thunderbolt entry and, more specifically, to Pete Morisi’s work. Dan Nadel’s Art In Time book first turned me on to him, and my appreciation for him has only grown since. I worried that you both might eviscerate him (you didn’t!), and I appreciated Rob taking the time to detail Thunderbolt’s legal status with DC. Ken Parille wrote a pretty good article on Morisi for the Comics Journal ( https://www.tcj.com/dont-move-the-still-life-of-pete-morisi/ ) where he outlines some of the notable qualities of his seventies output.
Also, I enjoy this cover much more that Volume XXII, Tarantula may not sell on the level of Superman, but the cover on the whole looks much livelier than Byrne’s rendition.
