Super Mates 113: House of Franklin-Stein Part 1 Image Gallery

This original 1932 poster for The Mummy is one of the most sought-after and valuable movie posters ever produced. Note that Karloff’s name is as big as the movie’s title!

While not as captivating (0r sought after), this Realart reissue poster is also quite striking, and shows Karloff in Ardath Bey mode.

This 1932 ad creatively displays Imhotep’s mesmerizing powers, as well as co-star Zita Johann.

This vividly colored lobby card shows supporting players Bramwell Fletcher as Ralph Norton, Edward Van Sloan as Professor Muller, and Arthur Byron as Sir Joseph Whemple. In this image the very green Mummy may be a dummy, and not Karloff.

Makeup master Jack P. Pierce transforms Karloff into Imhotep…8 hours at a time!

This image of Karloff in full Imhotep makeup shows a slightly different, early design. Note the loser, parted hair.

The classic Jack P. Pierce design…for it’s brief screen appearance!!!

This shot of Karloff as Imhotep and Bramwell Fletcher as Norton is NOT in the film. We only get to see his arm and hand!

Imhotep is sentenced to his gruesome fate on this lavish set.

Ardath Bey begins to explain his plans to Princess Anckesenamun (Zita Johann)
