I absolutely love this maxi-series as it presents the DCU with the versions of its heroes & villains that I like best. I bought it as it came out and am have been re-reading the absolute edition this week in anticipation of JLMay.
I guess it was the Challenge of the Superfriends that hooked me on the DC characters in the first place and this series is a love letter to my childhood. I told this to Ross when he signed my absolute edition at C2E2 several years ago. Whenever I see Ross art on a comic cover I purchase it. In my office I am surrounded by it too. I’ve got the JLA & Avengers group shots giclee posters on the walls as well as his 1940s JSA one too.
