Great discussion. I agree it was a cool callback to S5 and the period between S5 and S6, when Sam said he’s gotta stay off boats. And he should have followed his own advice because he’ll have another bad experience on a boat in S8 – on Robin Colcord’s yacht!
Another fave from my childhood. Always fun when they go outside of the bar. I agree that’s it’s fun seeing Sam and Rebecca as co-conspirators for a while and a very pleasant surprise that they made Evan a decent guy when he could so easily be obviously bad.
