Great point that this has the vibe of a first or second season episode and that Woody is very Coach-like.
I love this rare instance when Cliff gets in a good jab at Carla. Yes Cliff is obnoxious but I feel the show overdid it with Carla always bullying Cliff so I’m glad there are a handful of times he gets in a good one at her expense.
Loved how game Al is to go along with Sam’s scheme. The parade of sob stories, culminating with Cliff of all people getting a shot at Carla was great. I loved how vintage YUPPIE Frasier is at this point. The Tidwell, his car. It’s great.
