  1. Very funny episode. I agree Woody is the standout. I’m not sure I’d want to mess with Gary’s Old Town Tavern. It seems to be some kind of criminal organization that operates outside the confines of the law. They have big burly goons who kidnap people without any legal repercussions. But of course has Cheers has Carla, who also seems to have criminal resources at her disposal.

  2. An all-time classic. Loved this one as a kid and it holds up incredibly well. As discussed, the fact that everyone has a moment or two to really shine is so fun in this era of the show. Rebecca’s ‘dorky’ twirl, Carla saving the day, the guys with the Gary t-shirts. It’s fantastic.

The multiple heist-like twists to the end are so fun as the audience falls for each rug pull and recovery.

I especially love that the ending is the perfect Cheers type of win. They don’t actually get the full win, they just ensured that Gary doesn’t win which for them is victory enough. Everyone quietly whispering “Gary won’t win!” as the show cuts to credits is classic.

PS Anytime I see cardamon in a recipe/menu I of course always think of this.
