  1. This episode seems like they picked up clips off the cutting room floor that didn’t make the cut for an earlier episode. They had a few of those, not my favorite concept for an episode but they had much worse.

If I recall correctly, Frank had Radar as his helper when lining up the condiments. I always enjoyed scenes with them together. Linville and Burghoff had great comic timing. I wish they had held Potter off for a few episodes to see Frank as CO with Radar as his clerk.

There were a couple times where it seemed there was an extra surgeon that was never explicitly mentioned or introduced.

  2. Gorilla suits make everything better.

I’ve never really thought about it. How DID Klinger manage to have a private tent? He had to have been assigned tentmates over the years, but his Section 8 strategy either drove the regular enlisted men away and never made it stick, or Henry (meaning Radar) thought it was better to humor Klinger and not press the issue by making him share a tent, and thus quietly let him keep the solo quarters. If so, some other 4077-ers should’ve caught on and followed suit (or dress) to get in on the deal!

Again, gorilla suits make everything better. I picture Rob and Mike wearing theirs when recording. Right?

  3. The housing situation was always odd. Henry/Potter got their own place as CO. Margaret got a tent as head nurse. But the three surgeons (plus Spearchucker and Ugly John) were crammed into the Swamp.

Radar had to live in the office. I guess that is part of the job but cuts down on your privacy. He couldn’t just go and rest because people were always coming in.

Sometimes we saw the nurses all in one tent but if the plot called for it (one of them was having a fling with Hawkeye and then we never saw them again) they had their own place.

We also never saw where Igor, Zale, or Rizzo lived.
