Great episode. This might be my favorite song from Blonde on Blonde, although it’s a bit of an unusual case for me (and I’d suspect most Dylan fans), since I’m more drawn to the music than the lyrics. There’s that crescendo Glenn references (although more like a series of crescendos), but I think the musicianship is particularly impressive—the interplay of organ and guitar is just lovely. Also, you never mentioned the specific element that first drew me to this tune: That wonderful little pair of drum rolls that follow every time Bob sings “One of us must know” (d-la-luh, d-la-luh). So perfect.
