I agree this is not the worst episode of Cheers, contrary to what IMDb says. This is not my favorite, but it had some nice moments. I like how Frasier is the one to talk to Carla at the end, which is sort of a callback to his central role in the previous Madame Lazora episode when Sam was gone for most of the episode.
IMDb’s anti-Carla bias is unfair, and this episode is some peak Carla. She gets an arc of exploring her belief in the supernatural, dealing with her illusions shattered, and her cynical opportunistic self wins out to restore her faith that she’s smarter than everyone else. I love it!
