Christopher Lloyd is not David Lloyd’s Son. David Lloyd does have a son named Christopher Lloyd, but he is a writer, known for Frasier, and co-creating Modern Family and Just Shoot Me.
I am also Christopher Lloyd. True story.
It’s always the time machine inventors that have to be most careful about romantic involvements in their temporal adventures, lest they end up with descendants who become their ancestors.
I believe Christopher Lloyd the son eventually starts getting writer credits on Cheers too, leading to him receiving fan mail confusing him with the other C.Lloyd.
I would have loved to been part of this episode, alas Ryan never gave me the chance. He’s a very bitter man, everyone.
Interesting thought that “Sam gets along with everybody, even Harry the Hat.” Absolutely true, and reminds me of the episode “Pick a Con, Any Con”. When Sam shouts at Harry “I never want to see you in this bar again!”, that was a stunning moment, followed relatively quickly by the big twist and reconciliation. I can’t think of any other moment when Sam was upset with a customer like that. Now, the situation with Semenko was not that emotional, but very forceful for Sam, and deftly handled by all of Danson, Long, and Lloyd.
I remembered very well that Mr Lloyd was in these episodes. This was an amazing point in his career, so it’s awesome to have this Cheers appearance. Loved it!
