Things have picked up. I can’t wait for the next 6 seasons of “Married Sam and Diane”.
I agree Frasier is awesome in this episode. My favorite joke is when he says he’s going to help Carla because she’s a friend “and besides there’s nothing good on TV.”
I love this episode. The continual build of problem after problem and Sam getting himself deeper and deeper into the (relatively harmless) deception is excellent. Sam’s comment at the end is not presented well, but what he’s expressing is something we’ve seen all along: Diane is high maintenance. Expensive tastes, wants everything just so, and like all high maintenance people, has NO CLUE that she is. Sure, each individual piece is harmless, but the combination is what makes them a struggle to satisfy. Add in the sitcom miscommunication, and it’s hilarious results.
The whole cast is clicking so well, but I’ll agree having Frazier around makes every scene better. Amazing what he brings to the show.
And excellent podcast episode as always!
