I find it fascinating that when the bar closed at 2:00 am, Norm, Woody, and Cliff were going to Cliff’s apartment to start watching videos and then apparently were coming back to the bar at 9:00 am. When do they sleep? Also Sam and Dr. Rydell were just finishing dinner at Melville’s at 2:00 am? That’s late for a restaurant to be open.
And how did Sam know that Woody, Cliff, and Norm went to Cliff’s? They left before Sam came down from Melville’s yet Sam later tells Rebecca that they’re at Cliff’s.
I also wonder about Dr. Rydell’s professional ethics. Not only is she dating a patient but she publicized their private conversation by turning on the intercom, and she didn’t know for sure yet that Sam was faking his story.
All in all an enjoyable episode but the writing was a little strange. Perhaps because it was late in the season, which I’ve heard is the most difficult time for the writers.
Didn’t they do this plot later on Sports Night?
