Great to have Cheers Cast back. This two-part season premiere does a nice job of setting up the story arc for season eight, which I think is one of the best in the series. And spoiler alert, but I only now realized that season eight begins and ends with similar scenes — Robin walking into the office when Sam and Rebecca are in a compromising situation. I’m not sure if it was planned that way from the beginning, but it adds a certain level of synchronicity to the season.
I forgot about the scene of Sam waking up in his bedroom to the dream about Rebecca and Al. I think that makes this episode is the first of only two times in the entire series that we have a scene inside Sam’s apartment (both times involve very short scenes in his bedroom).
Yeah, I’ve noted the ending of the season premier and the season finale being very similar too. I’m sure we’ll talk about that when we get there.
And yeah, I was trying to think of another scene in Sam’s apartment other than the one where he has chickenpox–which is also in this season–and I couldn’t think of one.
