  1. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes as well. It’s packed with so many memorable funny scenes. If this had come out before the 200th episode, they would have included scenes from this episode, like Woody putting the entire Hostess treat in his mouth and Frasier being upside down in the garbage can.

I notice this season they’re starting to have zany Looney Toons cartoon-type payoffs to scenes, like Sam after the chili explodes in the pool room, Norm when the paint explodes in the office, and Frasier being upside down in the trash can!

I also picked up on the weird time aspects of Frasier waking up in the office when the bar is already in full swing. Either everyone is at the bar in the morning, or Frasier slept in past noon. Both possibilities are unbelievable but funny to think about. And I think Frasier can afford to get a hotel room rather than sleep on a couch in the office of a bar, at least so he can shower and change clothes before work.

  2. I’m so grateful Vicki mentioned the resemblance between Beth Toussaint (Paula) and Linda Hamilton! I was idly looking up the cast from this episode on IMDB, went to her page, and recognized her photo immediately from Star Trek TNG. BUT! Back when that episode first aired, my college roommate swore the actress in that role was Hamilton! Neither of us did a great job looking for the names in the credits to confirm it, or maybe he assumed it was an alias. Plus this was long before IMDB or Googling existed. So I’ve thought the wrong actress was in TNG all these years! In my defense, Toussaint’s haircut in TNG was eerily similar to Hamilton’s in Beauty and the Beast.

You know me, Ryan, I love episodes which remind the viewers that Lilith is *not* unemotional, just that she doesn’t *display* her emotions. It makes moments like her blowup in the preschool all the better. Just hilarious!

    1. Tim! I’m so glad I was only one thinking that!

I too love a Lilith-centric episode. Bebe Neuwirth is such a gem!
