I’ve already pre-ordered all of Kino Lorber’s upcoming Dan Curtis collections. In fact they’ve done so many Dan Curtis releases I’m surprised they haven’t packaged them under a unified banner of The Dan Curtis Collection.
I think it would be interesting to hear about your physical media collection, or at least parts of it. You learn a lot about a person from their collections. Owning all the Death Race films, or every Walter Hill movie or several different editions of Night of the Living Dead definitely gives insight to your movie fandom. Everyone has Star Wars or Goodfellas, how many people own Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies?
As to special episodes of Fade Out, I’m certainly up for that as well. You could do episodes on the last silent film, or the final films of certain studios or production companies. The last film you rented from a video store. I think it’s important to allow yourself so leeway. You have to keep the show interesting for yourself as well as the audience. Looking forward to future episodes.
Great show Rob.
Always listening but don’t often comment. But love the show.
For special episodes, seems a natural extension of Fade Out would be great last scenes/shots. Think closing door of Godfather and what that means, Bogey/Raines walking in fog in Casablanca, ending of the Third Man.
