“…plus a few surprises.” Yes! Looking forward to the episode about South Park’s Super Best Friends. 😛
I am glad the title doesn’t refer to a Soylent Green cookbook!
I was always more of a fan of the TV series than I was of the comic. As a matter of fact, I’m not sure I ever actually read the comic back then.
I do have a strong recollection of reading a Super Friends story where each member of the Super Friends encountered some strange situation. In each situation there was a central figure a cowboy, a pirate etc… and each one wore a Monocle. Superman used his photographic memory to draw his character on the chalkboard and all the Super friends agreed that it was their man. The problem is, that in more recent years I’ve looked up the Monocle in various comic sites and it never mentions this encounter.
I tried looking through the issue descriptions but none of them seem to mention him and I’m absolutely certain that the Monocle was never in the actual cartoon. Now, It could be that the story I read was in some anthology or other special, but I have no idea what other books it could have been in. I hope you guys can help me solve this mystery.
AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
NEVERMIND!!!!!
ahem!
Sorry I just realized that I found the very thing I was searching for!
(I feel like such an idiot!)
I decided after I posted that to just do a regular search on Yahoo for SuperFriends Meet the Monocle!
I can’t believe it! It came up, Issue #40……
I JUST BOUGHT THAT ISSUE TODAY!!!!!!
If I had read it in the car before driving home (My standard practice on MOST comic buying trips) I would have realized I had the thing in my hands the whole time!
Some days you just can’t win!
