This looks a lot like a Disney character checker set I had as a kid, but the similarity must be merely a coincidence, as the games weren’t even made by the same company.

A great episode! I agree with you, Rob, that there isn’t enough toy talk on the network. I enjoyed comics and Star Wars as a kid, but I realized I was a outsider compared to my other class mates. Having any related merchandise seemed to, in my mind, legitimatize my obsessions. “How can you not like Aquaman? He’s on a checker set! Everyone likes checkers.” And for my favourite character of Captain Marvel, a.k.a Shazam, getting ANY merchandise with him on it was fantastic. So bed sheets, book and records, and games were always enjoyed but also, for some reason, I thought any View Master set also made the characters more main stream.
Anyways, episodes like this bring back some great nostalgia even if I never actually owned the toy or game in question. Keep up the great work!
Still bummed that my pet characters didn’t make it (I’d never call Wonder Woman a pet, nor Cheetah, despite the obvious cat reference.)
Love that Black Canary. I’d fight to win every match with her alone. Crown, Baby!
