As good as ever, sir.
I think xum might now be considered Fire and Water’s own Spector . But a nicer version more like Casper . I’m reading several comic collections dc showcase Dial h for hero a reread , marvel comics compete shield nick fury’s story’s from when he was in the same comic as doc strange . And dc finish jsa I’m on issue 2 I just finished the hour man’s part of issue two next is doc fates story . I’m glad see in some of the other issues other hero’s get there own pros story I thought it was gonna be just Johnny thunder . Rest peace xum .
Dad actually recorded an All-Star Comics Johnny Thunder prose story too. Well, part of one. He did all of the narration, but when he tried to do the voice for Johnny Thunder’s dialogue, he was not happy after he did the first few lines. He said it sounded like “Dana Carvey as Garth Algar doing an impression of Jimmy Stewart.” (And yes, I had to look those names up.) Dad planned to get back to it when he figured out how to handle Johnny’s voice, but, sadly, he never got around to it.
Perhaps if some other podcasters want to voice Johnny and the other characters, we can have this story for the next JSApril…
I know a guy who may be interested in helping you out with that…
Not only is this perfectly executed from the wonderful narration to the excellent music selection and slight hiss and crackle of old audio, it makes me want a Dr. Mid-Nite radio show AND movie serial!
Great work as always Xum and Isamu!
Fantastic! Loved every second of it.
Xum’s dulcet tones definitely made for an interesting 20 minutes of exciting “old time radio”.I could practically see the characters as Xum narrated. I definitely would have tuned in every week to a show like this.
I enjoyed this hugely, Xum’s narration and acting, the music choices, the production (that subtle under-hiss was amazing)… it was a treat from start to finish, thank you!
Thank you, Isamu!
