Based on a randomly selected panel from comic book history, in this case a moody piece from David Lapham’s Stray Bullets #23, oHOTmu or NOT’s Amelie Montour talks crime stories, phobias, and haunted houses. Siskoid throws a flashlight beam at his friend’s psyche in this special episode of Panel by Panel!
A clean look at the image in the Panel by Panel Supplemental.

Sounds like Amelie is begging to be on Batman Knightcast.
She is.
She will do ANY show if asked.
If she doesn’t know a damn thing about the topic, she will do a voice for a dramatization or some silly teaser thing.
Hmmm, Talia, Silver St. Cloud, Francine Langstrom… maybe we need to add a radio play component.
Chris
Well….that is creepy. That is for the fun episode.
Guess I’m not going to sleep tonight!
Sounds like it’s time for Amelie to be on Pod Dylan.
STRAY BULLETS was a fun, random (?) choice for this show, since that series’ covers seemed to take this show’s aesthetic to heart–they more like blown up panels rather than typical “cover” images that are meant to grab the reader by popping off the rack. Aside from that, it’s just very nice artwork!
Amelie always makes for a fun chat. As for the panel, there’s not much to say about this one… we need colour for that extra talking point!
Thick black lines like that creep me out. Old woodcuts, mosaics, stain glass windows; or here, where they don’t need to, so they’re doing it on purpose around the eyes and eyebrows.
That is a very striking image! I enjoy hearing Amelie on this podcast because I knew which voice was hers!
