The amount of knowledge that you guys have on DC is unreal. Great episode.
I noticed something about the very first page… the heads at the bottom are lifted from other sources… and not the artists within this issue – for example, the Rock looks exactly like Kubert to me, and the Jonah head is looks to be from the primary artist of his series, and Superboy is a thowback from someplace too. Looks like that piece of art was added by an editor to get the characters on that page – to stop the first page from looking like a Classics Illustrated?
And, btw – I have the Superboy Spectac you mentioned – at least I think that’s the one… it’s a one-shot – I got it, because I figured it might be the subject of a Special Cast!
