  1. Hi Guys,

Hothouse was reprinted at least once, in the Batman Arkham: Poison Ivy TPB. Considering how little Ivy appeared in Batman titles between her debut and her star-making turn in BTAS, there weren’t a lot of stories to pull from for the TPB.

I first saw Poison Ivy in a Super Friends Golden Book, written by E Nelson Bridwell. When the text referred to Ivy as a Batman villain, I wondered why I had not heard of her.

  2. I know I’ve read LOTDK 42 before, and started remembering it on this re-read. The only thing I noticed this time is how P Craig Russell kind of downplays Ivy’s beauty. There’s no attempt to glam her up. I wonder if that was the point, rather than start her as an irresistible seductress, she’s a science nerd getting the better of Batman. The next issue will tell if that follows through.

I can’t repeat it enough: thank you guys for giving me this reminder to read B&R Year One! I really meant to follow it when it came out, but just lost track and then didn’t want to catch up. What a FOOL I was! It’s so great, and yes, the drama of Dick’s life and the social worker are almost better than fighting the villain. This has been a joy, and you get the credit for me reading it! (Or the blame, maybe?)

Now I’m on the edge of my seat for the big episode 50. I’ll be here. Same Knight-Time, same Knight-Channel.

  3. Here’s my secret question we know Batman’s two favorite heroes are Zorro and the gray gosht .
But here’s my secret question if there was Brave in bold style team comic staring the gray gosht character would you read it and who would you like to write and draw it and who be his guest stars for the first three issues and would the comic be in color or done in black and white ? Guess that’s a couple questions. Have a great week .

  4. The biggest connecting line between P. Craig Russell and Chris Samnee is they are both expert storytellers. Half the time the dialogue is unneeded. Amazing work.
