This is a really good Norm episode. Farewell to the Hungry Heffer, often talked about since the early days of the show but only seen twice, I believe (the other episode being in the Diane years when they made a movie for Woody’s parents). I had forgotten the dialogue about food; kind of a serious topic for Cheers.
I agree about Sam being somewhat annoying in how he picks on Rebecca for no apparent reason. Ted Danson is funny when he makes his laughing facial expressions while playing the music, but like you say, there’s no real reason why he should pick on Rebecca as opposed to Robin. And Sam clumsily hitting on Rebecca seems like a relic of their relationship in Seasons 6 to 8, not Seasons 9 to 11. Still, a fun episode.
