Very fun episode. References to the never-seen Reuben the busboy are always hilarious. My favorite reference to him is coming in the final season.
I think this is my favorite John Allen Hill episode. It has John being so arrogant and confident, then crushingly brought low by Sam dating his “little girl”. It’s incredible to see Keene Curtis pull this off. He does the extremes wonderfully while being incredibly funny. Of course, it would end with Sam being his own worst enemy and losing it all, which has been a lot of fun since Hill came on the show.
Other notes: Valerie Mahaffey is ridiculously charming in this role. She’s just delightful, and I agree, she is more in control of the situation than the audience is supposed to think. Such a shame she doesn’t return.
And your show has been teaching me the titles of these episodes. “Achilles Hill” cracks me up!
