  1. I have to say Woody’s cowlick line is my homerun. I’m thinking he meant that a cow was actually licking his face in the photograph. But who knows, it’s left open to the imagination, which makes it even funnier.

I think this episode might have the longest sustained scenes with Vera in the entire series. As far as I can recall, it’s the only time she’s “onscreen” (although without seeing her face) for more than a few seconds. The only other episode I recall where we see her is the Thanksgiving one where she comes in right at the end. And we hear her voice in the last-season episode where Sam is traveling from house to house to find a place to sleep, and an episode (or two?) where she leaves a message on the Cheers answering machine.

  2. Gosh, I really wasn’t thinking that this episode had John Allen Hill, Henri, AND Vera! The only character missing is Ma Clavin for the supporting character sweep!
