Hyperion to a Satyr: V.ii. The Readiness Is All

Hyperion to a Satyr – The Fire and Water Podcast Network’s Hamlet Podcast – continues Siskoid’s scene-by-scene deep dive into Shakespeare’s masterwork, discussing the text, but also performance and staging through the lens of several films, television, comics and even a rock opera. In Act 5, Scene 2, Part 1, Hamlet is presented with a friendly contest that’s likely a trap, but he’s ready for whatever comes next.

  1. I haven’t seen the Zeffirrelli version in a long time (and really just once).

I don’t know if the handling of Osric makes me really want to see it again. Or to avoid it at all costs.

Sad to see the show nearing its end!
