Secret Pour-igins: Maple Syrup

Cocktail: Maple Leap

Ingredients

• 2 oz whiskey of choice
• 1 oz orange juice
• 1/2 oz maple syrup
• 1/2 oz lemon juice
• 2 dashes of orange bitters (or any bitters of your choice)
• Pinch of rosemary
• Ginger ale

Instructions

• Add OJ, maple syrup, lemon juice, rosemary, and bitters in shaker and stir well
• Add whiskey to shaker
• Pour contents into cocktail glass with 1 large cube or filled with ice
• Top with ginger ale
• Garnish with lemon or orange twist

Mocktail Maple Leap

Ingredients

• 1/2 oz lemon juice

Instructions

• Open the bottle of Glenmorangie
• Pour a couple fingers of Glenmorangie into the glass
• Drop the Whiskey Stones in (or have it neat)
• Drink it

Secret Pour-igins: Drinking at Christmas

Cocktail: Yoo-Hoo-ltide

Ingredients

• 2 oz Baileys Irish Cream
• 1 oz vodka
• 4 to 5 oz Yoo Hoo
• 1 candy cane
• Chocolate syrup
• Nutmeg

Instructions

• Crush candy cane and put pieces on a small plate
• Pour chocolate syrup on separate small plate
• Rim your cocktail glass with chocolate syrup
• Then roll rim of glass into crushed candy cane and set aside
• Pour Baileys, Vodka, Yoo Hoo into a shaker with ice
• Shake for 10-20 seconds
• Strain into rimmed cocktail glass neat or on the rocks
• Sprinkle nutmeg on top and be merry!

Secret Pour-igins: The Mocktail

Cocktail: Zoo Cruise

Ingredients

• ½ cup water
• ¼ cup maple syrup
• 4 sprigs fresh thyme OR 2 Tbsp of crushed thyme
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon
• 2 Tbsp freshly grated ginger
• 1 squeezed lemon
• 1 ½ cup orange juice
• ½ cup grapefruit juice
• 2 cup ginger beer

Garnish

• Cinnamon stick OR sprig of thyme OR Orange wedge OR combination of some of the above

Instructions

• Add the water, maple syrup, thyme sprigs, and cinnamon to a small pan. Bring to a simmer.
• Reduce the heat to low for about a minute. Then let it cool to room temperature.
• Fill a shaker or glass halfway with ice and strain in the thyme syrup. Add the grated ginger and lemon juice and shake well for 10 seconds.
• Strain the contents from the shaker into 4 glasses evenly.
• Add ice
• Add orange juice, grapefruit juice, and ginger beer
• Garnish and enjoy!
