Peter Hansen, who played the executive, was on General Hospital from the 1960s to the 2000s, playing Lee Baldwin, the father of Scotty Baldwin, played by Kin Shriner, who was the voice of Green Arrow on JLU. Hansen died at the age of 95 in 2017. Shriner says they had a father/son-type relationship in real life. So there’s a connection between Cheers and JLU, two of the shows covered on the Fire and Water network!
I entirely believe that Rebecca is being held back because she’s a woman. If anyone would dig under the surface, they’d hold her back because of her neuroses, maybe, but that’s not what’s going on.
Woody is a man, yes, but he’s also devoid of neurosis and the boss can sense it.
This one aired on my birthday! What a fun treat that was. I agree with the notion that had Rebecca confessed up front she would not have been treated the same as Woody and Sam were because she’s a woman. I also think that this was never going to be Evan Drake just because it would’ve been a different dynamic than her just wanting to be seen as a good executive. Plus he also knows who Sam is.
