Even though I’ve had to say it a few times over the past couple of months, this seems to be it.
Goodbye, Xum.
Goodbye Xum, and thank you for being a wonderful friend to us – Bronze Age owlhoots, schizoid swamp monsters and all.
And love to your family.
I wasn’t a regular follower of Done-in-One Wonders, preferring the karaoke tracks and Xum For Sam, but hearing him say goodby to Solomon Grundy and Terra-Man just hollowed me out. Something about these orphaned characters and the awareness of Xum’s absence from his family and friends haunted me.
This was by far the saddest podcast I’ve ever listened to. R.I.P. Xum.
Thank you, Xum.
Godspeed, Xum.
Little JKC Man is sad, too, and I don’t think there’s enough Magic Friendship Ponies in the world to make it better. But just like a classic comic book character, Xum will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans. These three seasons stand as a testimony to his boundless creativity, his profound love of the medium of comics, and his unabashed good humor. I wish it could have run for a hundred years, but what we got is pretty great. Bless you, Professor.
Thank you Xum.
