  1. I’m enjoying Season Six, but it is one of my least watched seasons because I keep being surprised. I had no idea that Harry the Hat appeared this season. I thought he was gone between Seasons Two and Eleven. And I always assumed Evan Drake was in more episodes this season, equivalent to Robin Colcord in Season Eight. But here Drake is appearing for the first time almost halfway through the season.

One thing that distinguishes the Rebecca years from the Diane years is how we see wealthy high society as it existed in the late 80s and early 90s, like Mr. Drake’s party here. This continues in stories involving Mr. Drake, then Kelly’s family and of course Robin Colcord.

I love when Woody shows righteous indignation at Sam by saying would it have killed you to be more specific? A funny characteristic we’ll see more of later.

  2. This comment is actually in reference to the next episode, “My Fair Clavin” in hopes that you’d notice this too. The “basement” access door is used twice in this episode: once towards the middle by Sam (makes sense) but also at the very beginning of the episode by Frasier. After the credits, the first shot of the inside of the bar we see Frasier in the background heading down to the basement. Why??? So weird!

      1. Unfortunately, I never noticed that until just now when I re-watched it. That door is generally known to be for storage and closet space, so why would Frasier go back there?!! It was almost like Kelsey Grammer was trying to get off the stage but the camera was already rolling on the scene. So weird!

  3. Talk about a good week to be a dude — oh, actually that would be every week, natch. OK, then *specifically* it’s a good week to be a dude named Ted Danson or Tom Skerritt or Kelsey Grammer.
