  1. In addition to rewatching JL, your show gave me a good kick-in-the-pants to finally watch all of Superman: TAS. That’s been fun, but it’s interesting how even in that series, there was a tendency to be not-so-super. The ultimate electricity-is-evil villainess Live Wire wouldn’t have stood a chance against Supes in the comics, in my opinion.

The other power couple of the series didn’t get as much development in season one as I’d remembered: Batman and Diana. Looking forward to more of that relationship, but at least the early hints were nice.

    Great wrap-up, Franklins!

    1. Funny you should mention STAS, Tim. Look for some select coverage of that series before we get into Season 2 proper.

And yes, the Batman/Diana relationship was only barely hinted at this season, but we’ll see it kick up a notch or two next season for sure!

  2. Cool podcast. Pretty cool way to wrap up ya’lls coverage of the JLA season 1. Can’t wait to see season 2. As well as ya’lls coverage of what ever movies for Halloween ya’ll pick. Did I mention I have a U-tube page? That’s Liz Anne Oswalt on U tube.

  3. This was a nice wrap-up! I particularly liked that the favorite episodes were the ones that were more “comic-booky.” The ones with the extra heroes and the veiled references to other heroes and characters. In short, the episodes that embraced DC’s rich legacy.

    1. I think these guys were at their best when they let their geek flag fly. As they get deeper into the DCU mythology, the stories get richer and resonate more. The same can be said for the Marvel films as well. Just go for it, man!!!
