  1. Black Queen is my girl! Though I’m still partial to the Jean Grey as Black Queen, because I think the red hair really sets off the outfit (that reveal panel from the Dark Phoenix Saga is forever burned in my memory,) but Selene is no slouch either.

I’m stunned that the girls missed the obvious reference to make in regards to Black Talon once it was revealed that his feet were meant to be rooster-esque. What’s another, more fun, word for rooster that pairs well with “black,” ladies? How did you miss that one?!?

    1. I tried to goad them into it at one point by using that word, but they didn’t take the bait. I think they might have been crotched out by Blackout.

  2. Blackout gets two pages, but Black Panther gets ONE?!? Not only is this show hilariously entertaining, it’s pointing out how horribly lop-sided OHOTMU was.

Blackout looks like he’s got on a pair of those weird shaped sunglasses that popped up a lot in 80s music videos. The girls are right, the lightning motif really doesn’t make much sense.

Black Panther’s hotness was a given. He’s not a stuck-up d-bag like The Angel, after all. But how did they miss giving T’Challa an unmasked portrait shot? Total misfire.

Black Queen is that scary hot girl that you need to stay 100 miles away from. So much drama.

Black Talon looks pretty threatening here, but I remember him being played for laughs in a Captain America story in the early 90s. He’s a fast-food mascot on a bad day.

I had no idea about the maple leafs on the RCMP’s horse. Very interesting. Canada for the win.

  3. Blackout told himself that costume looked good, and he’s sticking by that, dammit.

I figured Black Panther would be a slam dunk on the Hot scale, I wonder who’s next to score that highly across the board? My money’s on Blastaar.

    Always enjoy this show!

    1. I’m really looking forward to hearing what the ladies think of Captain America. The Chris Evans effect can not be denied. At least, according to my wife!

  4. Another great episode (but could have used more wine)! I really expected more sleazy talk about the Black Queen on this episode. Did you convey to them that sex was really part of Selene’s arsenal?

Loved them gushing over Black Panther! Is anyone keeping a running tally of “hot” characters? Would be fun to rank the hottest characters, or at least hottest by issue!

Keep up the good work (and drink more wine)!

  5. Cheers for another fun episode. Blackout is more disposable than a cheap tissue. The Black Panther is cool but soooo himself. The Black Queen is an old tart who tries too hard. And Black Talon is a KFC mascot gone wrong. Not a single hottie in the lot.
