I don’t think that I ever saw this episode, but I laughed out loud, for real, when you said Carla’s line about where the meat comes from! That is a solid well-written joke!
The inflated book is one of my favorite Cheers props.
I think this is a great episode, very funny and true to the characters with a little bit of growth for Sam. It probably would be a stretch if he had started reading, say, WAR & PEACE, but Hemingway? I could see Sam getting into that.
BTW, a signed TSAR currently goes for around 4K. A REALLY fun curio would be getting Ted Danson to autograph a copy.
