  1. I can’t remember if I said it before but I was really looking towards to hear you covering this album. It’s such a fascinating feat to record it all in one night. Last time I listened to the album, I found it funny but also baffling due to the absurdity that skated it from humourous to bizarre. it’s an album begging for coverage.

…. That said, you killed me on your commentary of MOTORPSYCHO NIGHTMARE. When the show first launched, you had a offer for guests. My big choices at the time were (if I was ever crazy enough to attempt podcasting): NIGHTMARE, BLOOD IN MY EYES and the title track to the album SAVED, due to a personal story about how it made me feel the first time I heard it. Oh well, you can’t appreciate every song that’s what spices this show up.

    1. Robert-

I hope I didn’t sound too harsh on Motorpsycho Nitemare. It’s a fun song, and Bob’s performance of it is hilarious. But it’s clearly a throwaway (much like I Shall Be Free No. 10) and I think when you know the album was designed to be recorded all in one go, you can’t help get the sense that whatever songs reached a certain threshold got on, when maybe for another album they wouldn’t have. FWIW I’d listen to “Nitemare” a 1000 times before subjecting myself to to “Ballad in Plain D” again.

Please come on the show, and thanks for listening!
